LEARN TO RIDE! Quality private one on one instruction provided in a safe friendly atmosphere. Riding lessons available for the new rider through intermediate. Introductory Lesson $20 for half hour (limit one per person) Lesson Package $45 per one hour (discounted package price available for 1 hour lessons, with a monthly minimum of 4 lessons and are purchased in advance for entire month) Pay As You Go $55 per one hour/$35 per 1/2 hour (cash only, payable at time of lesson) Cancellation Policy: If rescheduling is necessary a 24 hour notice is required and lesson must be rescheduled in the same month in order to make up a lesson, no refunds will be given. No shows will forefeit their lesson. Pay as you go lessons are on an honor system, if you are a no show or cancel with less than 24 hour notice you will be required to purchase lesson packages.

REKINDLE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR HORSE! Balanced Horsemanship re-ignites the communication between you and your horse. Private training sessions or Saturday Clinic sessions will provide you with clear directions to reach your goals. Groups can be accomodated in a clinic atmosphere. Private Training $45 an hour. Saturday Clinic $200 each horse and owner combination. (saturday clinic hours are 9am to 2pm - 5 hours total and includes lunch.)

HORSE ENCOUNTER! Enjoy a 2 hour Interactive Farm Tour, participants will experience an up close and personal meet and greet with our equine and farm animal friends, feed treats, learn interesting facts about horses, and finger paint a beautiful white horse. Refreshments will be served, and a souvenir photo will be provided. Makes a great gift for birthdays, special occasions, or quality family time. $45 per person

WHAT WE DO! Our lesson program is set up into 2 parts, Horsemanship and Riding. The lesson will be one hour long. Half will be devoted to Horsemanship and the remainder will be a mounted Riding lesson. Horsemanship is a vital part of being around horses. Students will learn the basics of horsemanship. They will be taught using classical and natural horsemanship techniques. Riding lessons will depend on the student’s progression and interest. We use positive reinforcement for both horse and rider. We create opportunities for success using a variety of techniques to help the student develop and improve their skills.

WHO WE ARE! Jessica Malouf is a third generation horsewoman, born here in the South Bay and raised in the Bonita Valley. Jessica has spent a lifetime developing her Balanced Horsemanship methods and is currently writing her first book. She currently splits her teaching schedule between Del Mar and Bonita. Malouf Training Center/Malouf Arabian Stud is a working Arabian horse breeding farm and horsemanship education center, founded in 1989 by husband and wife team, Charles and Jessica Malouf. All of our horses are bred, raised, and trained to be a fantastic riding horse and companion.
